I'm trying to get my summer kale and microgreens going and been wondering if True Leaf Market is a good choice. I've seen the name around but never ordered from them. Some reviews say germination is fantastic, but others say it's hit or miss. If you've grown with their seeds this year, how'd it go?

No personal experience with this, but I agree that True Leaf Market is actually a name that comes up a lot!
Based on the reviews I've seen and heard, they're generally a reliable choice, particularly for popular, fast-growing varieties.
I think many people report high germination rates for their pea and sunflower seeds.
The hit-or-miss feedback you're seeing is common for certain varieties, especially the more delicate or slow-growing microgreens like basil, which can be a bit trickier to get going no matter the seed source.
I heard True Leaf Market often posts germination rates and specific growing instructions on their product pages, so try checking that as a good reference before you buy!

True Leaf's rep is way overhyped. You're mostly paying for branding and shiny packagin, germ rates are inconsistent at best. I've had better results with bulk farm supply seeds at half the cost and zero fanfare.

People get mixed results depending on the variety, but for most common greens, they do well. If you're trying something new or rare, maybe start small just to be safe.

I've tried their seeds before—most had great germination, but a couple packs were a bit patchy. Overall, they're pretty reliable, but like any seed company, results can vary by batch.

Yes — most gardeners report good germination and healthy plants with True Leaf seeds this season, though a few noted shipping delays or lower germ rates on some varieties. 🌱

I bought a few packets from True Leaf this spring and was impressed. The kale shot up strong, and the microgreens had no problem germinating. I think with any seed company you’ll see mixed feedback, but I’d put them in the “reliable” category based on my experience.
