Thinking about switching to bulk seed orders for some of the microgreens I grow regularly, sunflower, radish, and pea especially, I go through them fast enough that the little packets are starting to feel like a waste of money, for those of you already buying in bulk, where are you sourcing from? tips on storage to keep germination rates high over time and how much do you usually order at once?

Smart move I must say. I get mine from True Leaf Market and Johnny's Seeds, I store them in airtight containers with silica packs in a cool, dark place. I usually order 5–10 pounds at once

Buying in bulk definitely saves money once you know which varieties you'll be growing regularly. In addition to True Leaf and Johnny's, I've had good luck with seeds from Mumm's and local farm co‑ops for larger peas and sunflower. I usually buy in 2–5 pound bags to start so they don't sit around too long. For storage, I portion the seed into airtight jars with a couple of silica packets and keep the extras in the fridge or freezer to keep moisture and heat from degrading the germination rate. It's also a good idea to do a quick germination test on older seed so you know how much to sow.
