I am new to the microgreens game here and I tried growing radish microgreens this week, let me just say it was a big mistake? A few people tried mine and said they're crazy spicy, and they couldn't even handle one solo! Is that normal or did I goof something up with the grow? I did 3 days germ, 2 blackout, 2 lights, is there any way to mellow the heat next round? I'm tryna learn

radishes have a strong taste that many people enjoy, especially in sandwiches. However, if you or your friends find them too spicy, there are easy ways to make them milder. You can mix radishes with milder greens, like lettuce or spinach, to tone down the spice. Another option is to grow differwnt types of radishes together, which can also help balance the flavor. This way, you still enjoy the unique taste of radishes without it being too overpowering

Thanks, that helps a ton, mixing with milder greens sounds like a good plan. I'll try blending varieties next time too, I really didn't know that could mellow the flavor

I made that mistake once lol -- sprouted a tablespoon of radish seeds and tossed them on a sandwich as if it was alfalfa. I do not recommend this unless you like it hot hot hot!

Love mixing it in with alfalfa or clover, though, makes it more mild but with lil pops of zest.
